The DPS Foundation is excited to announce the A to Z Fund recipients for the Spring 2015 cycle! Since the A to Z Fund’s inception in 2006, the DPS Foundation has awarded nearly $1.26 million in support through 946 A to Z Fund grants. The Spring 2015 cycle awarded $83,047 to 54 schools.

The A to Z Fund provides grants to individual schools for programs and activities that go beyond the school’s limited budget. The A to Z Fund ensures all DPS students have equal opportunity to participate in enriching learning experiences. All DPS teachers are invited to submit an application in this competitive grant process twice per school year in the fall and spring semesters. You can learn more here.

This cycle’s funding will support projects including:

  • Bradley International School will use funds to purchase new, well-received and high-interest picture books to update the school’s library collection.
  • Castro Elementary School will use funds to create a Science Exploration Day, which will include grade level assemblies and classroom-based programs ranging in topics from live animals, to human physiology to chemistry.
  • Denver Online High School will use funds to implement a 3D Design workshop where students will learn Photoshop and Maya enabling them to create video games, movies, 3D prints, and more.
  • North High School will use funds to allow students the opportunity to participate, complete, learn and discover World Language Day at the University of Northern Colorado.
