School Partners Program

With generous funding from Qwest, the School Partners Program cultivates long-term partnerships between DPS schools and Denver businesses. School partners provide volunteer time, in-kind contributions and financial resources to meet the specific needs of their school.

This program provides an excellent way for businesses to get involved in helping local schools and to engage employees in community service.

The School Partners Program emerged in response to a growing number of businesses wanting to get more involved in Denver schools but now knowing how or where to initiate the process. The program captures the needs of individual schools in one central location and then communicates those needs with interested businesses.

What could you do for a school?

There are a wide range of things that businesses can do to help out a school, such as:

  • Bring in your staff for a one-day volunteer project, such as helping to run a school field day, judge science fair projects or do school beautification work
  • Create holiday food baskets for families at the school
  • Provide small gifts or a party for teacher and staff appreciation
  • Photocopy CSAP materials
  • Provide ongoing tutors or reading buddies
