"I have been involved with different tutoring programs over the years and without fail, they all are effective in contributing to our school’s success. The fact that the teacher has quality time and small groups to work with makes our educational goals achievable."
-Robyn Feller, fourth grade teacher, Newlon Elementary
We must close the achievement gap – one student at a time. Targeted small-group tutoring allows teachers to address the unique learning needs of every student. Tutoring is proven to increase proficiency, and perhaps more importantly, to build student confidence and engagement in the classroom.
The DPS Foundation supports DPS Tutoring Services for students in grades 3-10, providing them with supplemental instruction in math and literacy.
Tutoring programs consist of small-group instruction led by DPS classroom teachers, allowing students to receive the extra attention they need to practice and master new skills.
