Scott Springer_CEC“As an A to Z Fund grant recipient school, my teachers have been able to boost their fundraising to travel with students on many trips over the past several years. These experiences give students the opportunity to grow as leaders and represent Denver Public Schools at national conferences. My favorite thing about working in DPS is being able to make a difference in the students’ lives, more so than you might in a suburban school district because our students often have less opportunity. I enjoy working for CEC because I am helping kids advocate for post-secondary pathways – whether that’s a two, or four-year program or an apprenticeship, we are helping to get them there. I personally began giving to the employee giving campaign after attending the DPS Foundation’s Achieve Gala and hearing the inspirational stories from DPS students. I was moved to give because I saw the difference the DPS Foundation funded programs have made in the lives of these children. I designate my gift to the A to Z Fund to help contribute towards the pot of money that teachers and schools can apply for because it directly impacts our students.”
