During each Broncos home game in 2015, Noble Energy made a commitment to donate $1,000 to the Denver Public Schools Foundation each time the Broncos’ offense entered the red zone (the area on or inDSC_0846side the opponent 20-yard line). The Broncos made 32 red zone appearances in 2015, resulting in the $32,000 donation to the Denver Public Schools Foundation from Noble Energy. Noble Energy employee volunteers also joined McGlone Elementary students for a day of fun and sun during the school’s annual field day.

“Today has been so much fun. We were outside giving tours to Noble Energy volunteers this morning. I saw the mascot, Miles and I was so excited because I am a huge Broncos fan!” Julianna, fifth-grade student at McGlone Elementary.

McGlone Elementary was also honored to host newly appointed Lieutenant Governor, Donna Lynne, at the check presentation. Lieutenant Governor Lynne led the students in a Broncos cheer, and read a special proclamation from Governor Hickenlooper recognizing Noble Energy.

IMG_1760“Noble Energy is an inspiring corporate leader and a tremendous friend to the Denver Public Schools community,” DPS Foundation President & CEO Verónica Figoli said. “Their generous red zone gift to the DPS Foundation makes an impact on the trajectory of students. For years to come, this gift will not only enrich the education of our kids but their life experiences. Through their generosity, Noble Energy is part of the fabric of our community.”

“Our partnership with the Denver Broncos and the Denver Public Schools Foundation is a natural fit for Noble Energy,” Senior Vice President, U.S. Onshore at Noble Energy Chip Rimer said. “It combines our passion for enhancing educational opportunities for students in local schools with our support for Colorado’s World Champion Denver Broncos.  As a result of our second year of the Noble Energy Red Zone partnership, we are proud to be donating $32,000 to the Denver Public Schools Foundation.”

During McGlone Elementary’s Field Day, Noble Energy and Denver Broncos employees volunteered by gardening, reading to students, assisting in field day activities such as throwing the football, face painting, and much more.DSC_0817

“My favorite part of today was when they donated money to DPS which will help us get to do more fun activities. I also liked that the Broncos cheerleaders came, it was so fun!” said Beatriz, fifth-grade student at McGlone Elementary.

“Field day is wonderful for our kids. It is a day of play. It’s celebratory and such a fun way for the teachers to play and interact with the kids in a different way,” said Lauren Fine, Dean of Development at McGlone Elementary.

“It’s been incredible to watch the Noble Energy volunteers dive in here as well. Whether it was gardening or helping at field day or the book fair, there was such energy that they brought to the day. Having that financial contribution from Noble Energy partnered with the Broncos will help us offer activities that we might not be able to such as afterschool programs. I would like to say a big thank you to the DPS Foundation for helping us make this day possible. It’s been great!” Lauren added.
