The Denver Public Schools Foundation is proud to partner with VF Corporation (VF), a company that truly exemplifies what it means to invest in community. Through their ongoing support of DPS students, educators, and families, VF demonstrates how corporate partnerships can make a lasting impact. Most recently, VF joined us at Gust Elementary for a service day as part of their Serve-a-Palooza initiative, a company-wide effort that engages at least 90 percent of employees in volunteering across divisions within 90 days.
The event brought an incredible turnout of VF volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to beautifying the Gust Elementary campus. Employees painted blacktops, built a picnic bench, and organized the family resource room, leaving a lasting impact on the school community.
DPS Foundation CEO, Sara Hazel, praised VF’s commitment to holistic community partnership. Sara shared, “VF Corporation is a shining example of holistic partnership in action. Their continued support of DPS students, educators, and families through the DPS Foundation goes beyond financial contributions. It is rooted in true community engagement. From their $15,000 Back to Class sponsorship to their recent service day at Gust Elementary, VF shows what it means to lead with purpose. Their generosity and hands-on involvement is inspiring, and we are proud to call them a longtime partner.”

VF’s engagement with the DPS Foundation extends beyond sponsorships and service days. The company also supports students through Career and College Success (CCS) mentoring. Earlier this summer, they hosted an event to recruit mentors for the CCS program and the outcome was highly successful, with many VF team members signing up to serve as mentors in the new school year.
