The DPS Foundation helps ensure that investment in our schools is directed in the most effective, impactful and lasting way. Public funds are insufficient to provide the equitable education that every child deserves. That’s why we leverage our unique access to the district and our ability to fund students across Denver at scale, to support DPS in providing the best public education for every child.

About DPS
Denver Public Schools is focused on building a system that’s designed to help every student thrive. They work to ensure students are prepared for career, college and life.
To do that, the district is re-focusing its efforts on creating classrooms that are vibrant centers of learning and where caring teachers are engaging their students in rigorous, culturally responsive experiences in order to lift all students toward a bright horizon.
Denver Public Schools comprisesis comprised of more than 205 schools, including traditional, magnet, charter and pathways schools, with a current total enrollment of more than 86,000 students. Of those, 62.5% percent of the district’s students qualify for free and reduced lunch, a clear indicator of poverty. The current graduation rate is 79%. The district has more than 10,000 full time employees, with more than 4,700 of those being classroom teachers. This engaging, diverse and innovative school district is committed to being a space where every learner thrives.
