When families have the supports they need to succeed, our students can thrive and become future leaders, change-makers and societal contributors.
Community Hubs, formerly known as The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Centers are the one-stop hub that connects students, families and our community with free services to increase their economic self-sufficiency and academic success. All services are free and open to all community members 16 and older– not just DPS parents.
Currently as we enter the holidays, hubs are in need of food donations. Food donations can be made at any community hub location (listed below). Specific food needs are: dry beans, dry rice, bread/tortillas, pasta, noodles & sauce, canned vegetables and fruit, condiments, all-purpose or wheat, flour, cereal, oats/oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup.
The Community Hubs also have a training-to-employment pipeline, designed to increase diversity across DPS and better reflect the demographic makeup of the city by providing skills training and resume building classes. The innovative model helps DPS work toward many of the goals in its strategic roadmap, DPS Thrives.
