On Thursday, August 30th the BIC Pen-Sonality Tour surprised Cowell Elementary students with brand-new bags filled with school supplies.

The donation was part of BIC’s cross country summer bus tour and all 530 Cowell students received the sturdy bag (pictured above) complete with new pens, pencils, markers and more. Cowell first, second and fourth grade classes enthusiastically accepted the generous donation on behalf of the entire student body. A few lucky children even got to step outside and view the BIC Back-to-School bus, proclaiming it a “pretty tight ride.”

Cowell Principal Becky Zachmeier noted that the school “did not have a source for supplies” and that she was “grateful for this generous donation for our families and students.”

The BIC Pen-Sonality tour is traveling to fairs and festivals from Washington, D.C. to Sacramento, CA in the BIC Back-to-School bus. At each stop BIC drops off bags filled with supplies to help children in need get ready for a great school year. Follow the BIC Back-to-School bus tour on their Facebook page here.

Thanks BIC for selecting Cowell Elementary and safe travels!
