We Invest in Accelerating Progress

We make strategic investments in proven and promising programs and initiatives that support our teachers and fuel growth for our students. To date, we’ve granted more than $117 million to benefit DPS schools and initiatives.

Whole Child /
Whole Family

We support DPS’s Denver 2020 Whole Child Plan, recognizing that emotional, social and physical well-being is just as important as academic learning.

community hubs

Community Hubs offer free wrap-around, multi-generational  services to community members 16 or older in order to help them obtain critical life skills and increase their economic self-sufficiency and academic achievements.

Trauma Informed Practices

The Campbells’ recent $1 million grant to DPS for this program will address trauma’s long-term effects on learning, behavior and health.

Afterschool Programs

Afterschool programs supported by the DPS Foundation help ensure free access for students at and elementary and middle schools with high rates of free and reduced lunch eligibility, qualify for Title 1, or receive Tier 1 Intensive Support. The programs are supported through a variety of grants.

Middle School Sports

Participation in sports builds self-esteem, encourages a healthy lifestyle, improves school attendance and teaches invaluable principles of teamwork. The DPS Prep League enrolls 5,600 students in 17 different sports each year.

Teacher & School Leader Growth and Support

By supporting funds for our educators and unique initiatives across the district, we help to make sure all students have access to extraordinary opportunities.

A to Z Fund

The A to Z Fund provides materials, resources and opportunities that fall outside classroom budgets, but have a lasting impact on students.

Educators Take Flight

The Educators Take Flight program seeks to remove flight cost as a barrier to accessing top quality professional development opportunities for Team DPS members.

The Village

The Village provides students & their families with wraparound supports that meet students where they are on their educational & career journeys.

Workforce Development

Students take relevant courses while connecting with partner companies and higher education institutions for hands-on workplace experiences.

The program equips graduates with high-demand skills and leads to opportunities for continued education and careers.
