Teletech hosts a holiday party for DPS students and families each year.

The School Partners program facilitates ongoing relationships between DPS schools and the community.  Partners provide financial, in-kind and volunteer resources directly to DPS schools.  The holidays are a great time to recognize and celebrate this special friendship.

1/ Create a giving tree at your office and collect specific items to donate to your partner school.  Hang paper ornaments on the tree representing the item, and ask employees to take an ornament and donate the item listed. Warm hats & mittens, books, board games and school supplies are always needed and very much appreciated. Ask your school for additional donation ideas – they know best the specific needs of their families and students.

2/ Many schools have instrumental and choral groups that enjoy performing for new audiences. Invite them to perform at your business to help ring in the holidays. Be sure to include transportation costs associated with the trip when asking your school to visit.

3/ Some families struggle to provide gifts this time of year. Ask your school if there are families in need of extra support and donate gifts or gift cards and help make their holiday dreams come true.

4/ Gift a field trip. Give students something to look forward to in the New Year by offering to sponsor a field trip in 2013 the school could not otherwise attend due to financial restrictions.

5/ Teachers need a little holiday magic too – donate breakfast or lunch for the faculty and show our educators you appreciate the work they do all year long.

We’re here to help you put together a holiday plan for your school! Please contact Nicole Capage-Brown at ncapage-brown@dpsfoundation.org or 720.423.3226 for more suggestions.
