College View

College View Elementary is located seven miles south of downtown Denver, one block east of Federal Blvd. More than 450 students attend College View in grades ECE-5th and more than 97 percent of students are eligible for the free and reduced lunch program. College View has a diverse student population with a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

College View is seeking business and organizations to partner with the school and help ensure students get basic needs met and are ready to learn each day. This could include donations of winter coats, new socks and underwear, and books to help build home libraries.  College View also needs volunteers to read with students on a regular basis, volunteers in the classroom and help foster a college-going culture by serving as positive role models in the school!  There are also opportunities to volunteer in the library as well as begin work on a future community garden.

Have another idea of how to help? College View’s Parent and Community Engagement Specialist Lauren McClanahan welcomes any and all involvement at College View and would love to discuss additional ideas to increase student achievement. Principal Kyle Gamba, a dedicated and dynamic leader, says, “Only together can we make College View an awesome and productive neighborhood school for all students. We can and we will!”
