Each day, Renée Verspoor, Project Manager of Construction Services, plays a role in making sure students have a safe and quality environment to learn in. Renée genuinely believes that every child should have the opportunity to have a fantastic education. She is a product of public schools and knows that education is the cornerstone to success. “I have such a big heart for kids. One of the best memories I have is seeing the big eyes and excited gasps from students at Slavens School when they entered campus grounds after the completion of a two phase project that brought a cafeteria, kitchen, gym, learning landscape and classroom remodel. I love Denver Public Schools because I get to give back to my community every day.”
By donating to the Team DPS Employee Giving Campaign Renée feels like she is a part of the DPS community. “Each day when I coordinate improvement projects such as painting a wall, replacing carpet or building a new playground I am having a “background” impact on students.
