DPS Foundation is thrilled to announce a partnership with Grand Peaks Property Management Company, which will be providing free housing at Skyline at Highlands for up to 10 DPS classroom teachers. This complex is located at 2501 W 26th Ave, Denver, CO 80211. The apartments in the drawing will be five studio apartments and five one-bedroom apartments.

What are the Skyline Rental Application requirements?

  • The drawing may only be entered one time per teacher and must be filled out by the awarded recipient of each unit.
  • Occupants over the age of 18 will be required to complete an application.
  • The Skyline team will need to collect applications 48-hrs prior to the move in for screening purposes.
  • Only DPS classroom teachers in years 0-3 of teaching with the district are eligible to apply. For this drawing, classroom teachers are defined as licensed teachers that are educating students at least part time in DPS classrooms and have been with the district for less than three years.
  • Rent is not guaranteed past the one year lease.
  • DPS, DPS Foundation and Grand Peaks would like to share this news and promote on social media, email newsletters, etc. if winners are interested. This does not impact eligibility, but this will be asked on the drawing form.
  • Applicants must pass a general background check.

What is the Skyline Rental Criteria for DPS teachers?

  • Application fee will be waived and is $0.
  • Income criteria is revised to read that the applicant is not required to provide 2x’s the amount of rent through the 12-month DPS program.  
  • For the initial DPS Program of 12 months, deposits will be waived. 
  • If you leave the district and no longer work as a DPS educator during the 2024-2025 school year, then you must work directly with Grand Peaks as your landlord to pay market rate for the apartment to continue residency. 

What fees are associated with the Skyline Lease Agreement through this special DPS opportunity?

  • Lease agreement – market rent will be reflected in the agreement; however, special provisions will read- Through the duration of this lease term the entirety of the monthly market rent amount ($) will be offered to the DPS program as free rent.  
  • All standardized addendums will apply and to be signed by all occupants.
  • All utilities fees will apply and to be paid by the resident upon customized due dates (not covered by the property).
  • Parking garage fees will apply and to be paid by the resident.
  • Pet qualifications are required. Fees apply and to be paid by the resident.
