Denver School of the Arts Jazz Workshop Band | Hamilton Middle School Swing Dancers & Band | Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy | North High School Drum Line

For the past 13 years, the Achieve Gala has provided DPS students from various schools a stage to show off their talent, hard work and dedication to the arts. Talk to a student participating in some form of the arts — whether dance, choir, sculpture art or orchestra — they will profess that art is much more than an extracurricular activity. Students will tell you that their art connects them to their passions and helps them find success inside and outside of the classroom.

On Tuesday, April 21st, you’ll have a chance to see some of the incredible talent in Denver Public Schools when the Denver School of the Arts Jazz Workshop Band, Hamilton Middle School Swing Dancers and Band, Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy and North High School Drum Line perform for over 1,000 community members at the 2015 Achieve Gala.

The Achieve Gala is an annual fundraiser for the DPS Foundation, generating nearly $1 million each year to support more than 89,000 students and 183 schools within DPS.

Watch this inspiring video of these performers and see why arts programs are critical to our goal that Every Child Succeeds!

Don’t miss out! Achieve Gala tickets and sponsorships are still available!

The evening also features a keynote address from East High School senior Raymond Pryor, and remarks by Superintendent Tom Boasberg, Governor John Hickenlooper, Lt. Governor Joe Garcia and Mayor Michael B. Hancock, who will all speak to the state of education in Colorado, and why we are all DPS!
